Cabelas - Lone Tree
Well, I have been to 6 Cabela's Stores now. I have to say, the store in Lone Tree has got to be one of the worst. I have been there twice looking for different rifles, and both times been told no. The first time I was looking for something in the $2-3000 range in a bolt action Left hand. The Fine gun room told me "No, we don't have any, go to the new gun counter and order something." Then he turned around and walked away. I went this last weekend looking for a RH Model 70 Super Grade in 30-06. 300WM, or 338WM. I checked the fine gun room where they had two .458s, so I went to the new gun counter. They had no Winchesters super grades and didn't even offer or check to see if they could order any.
The stores in Sydney, Ne, Glendale, AZ, Buda, TX are awesome stores. They were all super helpful and would bend over backwards to help. I am hoping they are able to get things in Lone Tree figured out soon. I know it is a new store, but employees being helpful makes for repeat customers. None of the people I spoke with were young, but were the older gentlemen who I prefer to deal with normally. They weren't overly busy, either.

So are you just telling us, or did you communicate this to cabelas?

For the prices they command, I would have to let someone know. Cabelas in Kansas City has always been top notch as far as service goes, even when they first opened. I wasn't impressed with Lone Tree's rifle collection on the new counter, and even less impressed with the prices on the used racks. I didn't see a model 70 anything on the new racks, and that's silly to me. Ruger and Remington, those tend to be walmart brands to me at least. A store dedicated to sporting rifles should have at least a few M70s on the rack. Maybe they do now, but I haven't bothered to fight the insanity to look.

I have let them know. The people at the store couldn't seem to care what I thought of their service. I have now sent a message to the company.

I've been to the one in KC (pre-panic) and they had the reloading stuff I was after. I went to the one in Lone Tree and it was so thoroughly...eeeeeeh. You know how you feel when there's nothing on television so you watch the least crappy thing on there, and it's one of the really boring Mythbusters episodes from the first season? Eeeeeh.
Might pick up some outdoor clothes on clearance, though.

I wanted to look at a scope yesterday and waited for about ten min with no service, not even anybody behind the counter. Then someone came by and saw me and several other folks standing there and told us they were sending 3 employees over to take care of us. After five more minutes I left. Never been to a Cabelas before but I think I'll find someplace closer to home to be ignored at...

I've been really impressed lately w/Cabelas...they have: lack of service, high prices, a good selection, if you want to pay for it and a lack of knowledge of what they have in the store.
I saw a job opening for the one in my town and I didn't even apply for it because they are so low-grade that I couldn't see myself being a part of something that stinks so much.
