Attachment 37805Or as I called it, "Hunting Tauntaun on Ice Planet Hoth". It was 2F with -15 wind chill on Friday north of Cheyenne as we walked around for miles looking for pronghorn. I did get one later that afternoon, 3 does for the sausage grinder for the year.
Now that's some dedication right there. Congrats!

It's a Tikka T3 Lite in .308, 150gr Barnes TTSX at 2800 fps, nothing huge, with a 4-16x50 Viper PST. My hunting partners are all shooting magnums with bigger scopes. we sneaked up on a herd and they sneaked up on us - I saw two heads looking at us from just over 200 yds away on the next ridge over, we laid down and the whole 150+ herd walks into sight. Kinda hard to pick out just one and not worry about pass-through. Sure is fun to see all those goats together.

Had to find shelter for a while when the wind started blowing, the trees unloaded all the snow they had captured in their branches
Looks cold, and a tad bit scarce of the required 500 inches of orange.
