Be careful w/ New Mexico. The CCW does not "work" on tribal lands, of which there are many that the major highways pass through.
http://www.handgunlaw.us/ has a downloadable PDF for every state and all the reciprocal agreements. I download the latest copies of each state I'm traveling through and put them on my space phone for reference.

Here's probably a good place to review

I know nothing of the other states mentioned, but when in Kansas BEWARE of the "Gun Busters" signs. It is a criminal offense (misdemeanor ) if caught violating a posted establishment.
There is even a state statute describing required size, color! symbol and wording.
If you don't have a CCW permit and you have a firearm in your vehicle for protection,it must be in plain site.
I got my CCW one other person were going with does to but doubt she will carry. So it will always be on my person

Study up on the carry laws in those states, NM in particular has some (to us) pretty odd restrictions on where you can carry...

FWIW there's an app for that. Checkout CCW in the iTunes App store. Only costs $2 and gives you the laws in all 50 states, tells you which are the 33 states that honor the CO permit, etc.
