JC Higgins Model 28 in a .22lr (1951 or 1952)

I have a JC Higgings Model 28 in a .22lr made in 1951, they only made them in these two years - 1951 &1952. Is there a list of guns on the C&R list that I can check if this is on? If not do I need to add it? If I were to sell or trade do I need to go through an FFL? Just trying to do some research at this time. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

From what I could find, your JC Higgins is eligible as a C&R firearm and does not need to go through a FFL to sell. Values run from about $60 up just under $200 depending on condition.

To be recognized as curios or relics, firearms must fall within one of the following categories:

2. Be certified by the curator of a municipal, State, or Federal museum which exhibits firearms to be curios or relics of museum interest; or
3. Derive a substantial part of their monetary value from the fact that they are novel, rare, bizarre, or from the fact of their association with some historical figure, period, or event.
