Not around here but used to do it all the time in Texas and Louisiana. I preferred to use chicken hearts for bait. That "stink bait" stuff works pretty well but I can't stand the smell of it and god forbid you should get some on your hands. Beef liver also worked very well for catfish if you can't find chicken hearts. Just cut off a piece and stick it on the hook.
We did great at night in WY last month with streamers for trout. Nearly every cast yielded a fish.

Nice. I've been doing Tabor lake in wheatridge and last week I lost a good one and my buddy pulled out a fat cat using chicken liver.
We night fish for wipers and stripers in Nebraska. We catch bait fish and fish them live.
In CO we catch wipers at night using muscles. Yes muscles that you buy at the seafood dept
I fish for channel cats at night. 10 lb test with cut bait with a light weight. Let the bait sit on the bottom, open the bail, and wait for the line start going out. You can buy the frozen creek chubs from sportsman's warehouse and use octopus hooks for best hookups. Another good bait is chicken franks cut in 1/2 inch chunks. Take some minced garlic and a little ATF and combine in a ziploc bag. Let it sit in the fridge for a week. Good stuff.
