I just moved to Denver a week ago and this seems to be the closest range to me so I was wondering if they allow you to shoot 223 ARs? Thanks for any replies.

No rifle range. They wouldn't let me shoot my ar15 pistol either.
Am I just looking in the wrong places or is there not that many public ranges in the Denver/Aurora area?
Best place to shoot here is to head up to the mountians. Find a nice secluded part of national forest with a good back stop. Shoot till your wallet hurts and then clean up all your brass and targets.
I live near the Firing Line also. If you can get past all the bullet holes in the plastic walls that seperate shooters and the ceiling know that you stand a good chance of being hit by bullet jacket coming back off the wall. People aren't supposed to use jsp or jhp ammo, but they do. If this isn't enough try and stay in there with 10 people shooting. Can't see your target 15 feet in front of you and the taste of lead and primer compound in the air is enough to make you gag.
Cherry Creek is not too far from the area your looking at.
Pretty decent place.
Planning to goto Firing Line next week, because I am going down to Aurora area for 3-4 hrs.
How are they now? Decent?
thanks
Planning to go there today.
Just can't afford to drive long distance with baby and the mama. :(
Last time I went there was around 1996 and 2005.
My experience on 1996- dark... Very Dark.
My experience on 2005- smoky... Very Smoky.
if you live in thornton, WHAC is a good place to go. we just joined it couple weeks ago. it's only 30mins or so from thornton. http://www.wildlifehunters.com/
we have not been to other ranges in/around denver. but for the price and distance, WHAC is a simple choice. they also have regular events/matches free to member and public. cy is a great guy to deal with.
Any rifle up to 30.06 is welcome @ the Silver Bullet Shooting Range on 38th and Harlan in Wheat Ridge.
25 yds lanes.
Only limitations are no steel core bullets and no steel or alluminum cases.
See you there.[Beer]
