I was going to the South Site tomorrow before the expected cold snap Tuesday.
If anyone has been there in the last few days, what are the conditions of the road/ruts.
I have a car with not a lot of clearance and wondered if it is passable?

There was a new Camero out there today. He made it all the way in. I'm sure you'll be fine.
I went pretty far in with a Honda accord.
May I ask what is The South Side? Is it a range or what?

Roger, it's a piece of Forest service land that has unofficially turned into a range over many years. It is about 20 mins North of Woodland Park toward Deckers on HWY 67. There is one good shooting lane up to 100yds and several more from 30-50 yds. There might be more good shooting spots if you drive further in, but it's not a legit road, so it can be dicey, even in a 4x4.Quote:

While I can't say if its closed or not, there are a lot of trees leaving my back yard...
I was up there on Saturday, November 29 and the conditions were excellent, other than it being a very windy day. There was no snow on the ground and since then I believe it has been fairly dry and sunny. That said, I would expect good conditions this weekend.
Thinking about heading up there today. Anyone else going up today?
