Saw this earlier, hope he fares well. He seems to be one of Hollyweirds decent guys.
Cool old trainer he was in, pre WWII PT22?
One thing I was thinking- no fire, no fuel.
Think your right because the PT19 was a biplane. Well at least he was ok sucks about the plane though.
Dang! Glad he was okay. A little troubling in the article saying he has had multiple crashes. That is not good!
lol
"Ford is a longtime aviator -- piloting planes and helicopters -- and has crashed multiple times in the past."
Looks like he isn't any good at piloting anything other than a space ship?
Han Solo lives!
I'd say it was damned lucky that he happened to crash at the golf course where two doctors were playing through at the time.
Another filming delay on the movies i imagine.
I don't know what his politics are like for guns, but he's definitely in favor of the freedoms provided by private aviation. He's been a great supporter and spokesperson for general aviation. The Aircraft Owner's & Pilot's Association (AOPA) is an advocate for private aviation and Mr. Ford has served as an AOPA spokesperson and advocate in meetings with the DC bureaucrats as well as appearing in promotional videos encouraging people to take up flying as a hobby.
Believe it or not, private aviation is under attack by our government in much the same way as gun ownership is. I don't know what the government's end game is, but it sure seems to me that it wants to squelch anything I personally deem as being entertaining or "fun".
IMHO, Mr. Ford is definitely one of the good guys.
Good guy for sure. Chairman at Wings over the Rockies Museum, too, I believe.
He's also big into search and rescue operations, and has rescued a few stranded hikers in his own private helicopter.

A golf course...I'm surprised Obama wasn't there too.
