Anybody have an M&P CORE?

Looking at picking up another M&P9 and I'm planning on getting a pro model for sure - can't decide whether to go CORE or not.

The relatively small price difference between the two is not a deciding factor for me.
I'm not sure if I'll run a red dot full time on this gun, but obviously the CORE is the way to go if I want to run one at all.
Honestly the only downside I can see is the extra tall iron sights. Assuming I don't run an optic full time, the tall sights look like they'd be distracting or might snag or something. I shoot suppressed handguns a pretty decent amount and am used to "sighting through" a suppressor, so there's not a lot of benefit in the higher sights for me there. Sounds like the options for night sights or replacement sights are more limited as well, as the CORE doesn't use the same sights as the normal M&P models.

Looking for any thoughts from someone who has shot or owns one. Are the CORE sights annoying or awesome?

I have an optic mounted CORE. The high sights are necessary to co-witness with the red dot. I use the high sights as a guide to find the dot, since they line up. I don't think there is a disadvantage to the tall sights. If you can see them over a suppressor, even more to like.

I don't own nor have ever shot a CORE. I do, however, have a fetish for Glocks with RMR's. Hope you don't mind me giving some input.
1. RMR's are absolutely awesome on pistols, and are entirely concealable and are really no more uncomfortable to carry than the same gun without the red dot. It's all about getting a good holster, and there are a number of them out there made for it. Dale Fricke makes an excellent holster (for red dot and non red dot pistols), if you do end up getting it.
2. As SouthPark said, the suppressor sights are necessary to co-witness with the red dot. Obvious reason this is good... if your batteries die or the sight otherwise fails, you can still use your sights. Less obvious reason... having the irons on the same plane as the dot makes the transition to automatically picking up the dot instead of looking for 2 points of reference significantly easier for your brain when you're getting started with red dot pistols.

I highly recommend both the red dot (specifically the RMR) and suppressor sights.

Well, I grabbed one and it sure is pretty. Can't believe I'm so booked up this weekend that I can't get out to test it out. Thx for the feedback.
