Walther Colt 1911
**Picked it up Friday, very impressed with the fit/finish. Also got a spare mag and following crays' advice a spare recoil spring. Got a 2 week vacation coming up after this week. Lots of motorcycle riding and shooting on the menu.**
I was referred to CDNN's website for a very good price on the Walther/Colt .22 1911s. Grabbed one of the "rail gun" versions (they don't offer the fixed sight w/o rail-just the Gold Cup version), should be here by mid-week at the latest. Shot one on Saturday at the range, ate every load the guy had though they seem to prefer the high velocity mini-mag. Can't wait!
I was going to get a conversion kit for my existing 1911 but this was only $30 more than a kit so why not?
Do/did any of you have/had one?

Great to hear, CDNN has extra mags for $19.89 so got an extra too, should be a fun little blaster.

I had a range review of mine on here for 2-3 years, but it was lost in the server crash.
Mine has eaten pretty much everything from day one, and it is definitely a fun shooter. Mine is the railed model as well.
My only suggestion would be to call umarex customer service and order a spare recoil spring. I ham-handed mine early on as I was reassembling after cleaning and kinked it pretty bad. At that time, the springs were on 6-8 week back order (fortunately I had access to one right away, but it took a while for the replacement to arrive).
Haven't ruined another, but the prospect of not being able to shoot it for 2 months, due to my error, stunk.

Thanks for the idea-spare spring on the way from Walther.
