Picked up a $2 axe awhile back at a garage sale. Cleaned all the rust off,sanded the handle,stained and boiled linseed oil,
paracord wrapped below the head to protect from misses. Can't beat a $2 axe haha.

Nice work. I like the paracord wrap as cheap protection for the handle from misses when splitting wood. Will have to do that to some of my tools. Old axes, mauls, hammers and sledge hammers seem to seek me out for renewal. I must have 3 dozen or so in the tool rooms. The trick is finding good hardwood handles at a decent price.
