I need help with my website. I have very little web presence.
Anybody know any small web designers that can actually get me up on the google searches? I've numerous big companies want $500 a month to manage it, but that's freaking crazy if you ask me.
The terminology your looking for is SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Lots of people / companies offer this and some are actually good at it. The reason some companies want a monthly fee is to keep your search results good and high up on Google's results page. Often SEO can be setup and will stay good, unless you in a competitive business and your competitors are really using SEO to drive up their results (and send yours down). Most SEO companies will likely want to redesign your website to allow for SEO to search metadata (sorry for the geek terminology) to return search results to Google/Bing/Yahoo. Most common now (and easiest for SEO people) is WordPress websites. They will want you to pay them to rebuild your site, then set up social media site for your business, then optimize your SEO results. This is how they do it and it can be expensive. I have someone to refer you to locally, but it isn't real cheap. Good luck, reach out to me if you need any more help or clarification.
