Hey guys a little piece of metal in my locking mechanism broke. I have tried everything to fix it and can't figure out how to fix it! I tried Home Depot, lowes, and ace to find a replacement with no luck.
can anyone make this part for me?

Patio latch?
I might be able to find a replacement assembly. Or that part can be welded pretty easily
If that is a patio door lock, can't you just buy a new lock to slide into the door?
JB weld?
Jb weld wouldn't work, yes patio door, this is a double latch huge lock assembly.. Nothing came close to matching it in the stores I mentioned. If someone could make or weld I would be willing to mail and pay for mailing it back or meeting someone.
Any particular reason that JB weld or some type of steel putty wouldn't work???Quote:

If you are handy enough, buy a piece of metal at hardwarestore, drill holes and file the outline, smooth with a sand drum.
Cheapest fix.........Drill a small hole in each piece, pop river a connecting link to them.
OR a quick spot weld.
The shape indicates it doesn't have much room. You'd need a large blob for it to even work. Actual welding would make this cakeQuote:
