Good to know. I have several friends that went cheap even though they were advised not to.
Good info. NOW..... imagine this company telling people, once plates have been returned. Sorry, we're unable to send new plates back to non LE or Military personnel. Under the guise of homeland security concerns.
Ar500 armor is a very civilian friendly company, not like other body armor companys.
Sounds like they found out that materials from one of their suppliers might not be to spec.

Careful.. Their products are inferior to the same rated plates in the market. We shot many samples from ar500, hesco etc. AR500 produces the most shrapnels and get destroyed fastest. We have few of the shot up plates at the shop on display :D
