Anyone here work on gas fireplaces?

I have a couple of gas (propane) fireplaces the I'd like to have looked at. One is a pretty standard two sided insert that I just want to have tested for safety and any normal maintenance done.

The second is a big 4 sided fireplace with a fire ring and logs that is in the center of the living room. Seems to work fine but I'd like to have it cleaned and adjusted as well as new logs/log configuration. Worked fine this spring but one day after running for a couple of hours we got a lot of black smoke that coated the interior glass with soot. Wiped it off and ran it again for a short time on another day with no issues.

Also have a wood burning stove that needs a chimney cap and probably a good cleaning.
