Denver Gun Room
I followed an internet ad for a colt python to The Denver Gun Room at Colfax and Carr. The gun had already been sold but they had another similar one there. They were friendly, attentive with a good selection and their prices seemed reasonable for a "specialty store"
Has anybody had any dealings with them good/bad?
By the way-- I am trying to talk myself into a $1200 gun[Eek1] with a butter smooth trigger

Sure it wasn't a classic bait and switch?

... kinda what I think reading this...
They seem like decent folk there, prices are high though... have bought a few things in the past from them, not much in the last few years though.

As you can see when you walk in, they are not much on accessories. But they have a fairly good selection of firearms. They have some firearms there, that I don't see any other place. (locally) Prices can be a bit high.
If you happen to be looking for a particular older firearm, you can sometimes find an OK deal on the racks out in the middle. Service is "most of the time" pretty good. I have bought there before.

I bought a DPMS panther lite from them. It was the best price around and I had looked all around town. They have a good selection of used and new and some surplus stuff. Not trying to be a billboard for them but I would go back. They do a lot of internet sales.

I was just there on Friday as I had my 870 express super mag on consignment there. 3+ months and no takers.
They had a very large selection of AR's and I agree, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They did have a Glock 26 but were asking about $60 more for it than JJ Enterprises.

I used to go in there when it was downtown. They always had a good selection of used stuff, and were friendly.

If these are the guys that used to be on broadway close to downtown they are really helpful. I was robbed and had 5 guns stolen. I went in there to get an estimate of what my Llama .38 Super was worth, hard to judge when you can't see it. The guy I talked to was really helpful, took my description of the gun and gave me an estimate of value.
The best part is about 10 years later I got the gun back from the police. Denver had recovered it and left it sit in their storage for years before returning it to Englewood. It was recovered from a convicted felon packing it.

Yup- Same shop that was on Broadway damn near across the street from Wedgles Pawn.
Bought my 1st AK there, a NIB Norinco fixed out the door for a smidge over $200.00.
Jeeez- I just dated myself.
Been out there a couple times a long time ago. Staff seemed kinda reserved and quite but were helpful enough. Had some cool oddball consignments and some nice upper end shotguns.

I gotta say I like this place. They have a good selection. My buddy purchased a high power that they had listed on gunbroker. It was priced good.
