VOLE INVASION!!!!!
My yard is infested with Voles.!!!!! Not Moles, but Voles. The city is doing a big reconstruction project in the ditch behind my yard and the voles have scurried into all of our yards. I have shot a few with my pellet gun, but they are small and I can't stand in my perch all day long.
I can not use poison because of pets. Here is what I have done so far. I have 6 of the ultrasonic in the ground things places. That is double the amount suggested by the manufacturer. I have 4 tin cat traps baited and placed where the vole runs are showing up. I have smooshed crushed garlic into where I think their nests are located. I own a flamethrower, and that may be next on the list. Any suggestions or tips and tricks to get rid of these fuckers? They are destroying my lawn!!!!!!!!
Any of you have them and have a method to get them to relocate or to kill them without poison and using the pellet gun 24/7. The pellet gun is a kick in the ass, just can't do it all day every day. And no, I am not going to hire out for somebody to sit in my window and plink voles all day.. lol lol

You say you can?t use poison due to pets.
What kind of pets do you have? I would think dogs or cats would drive the critters away.

The neighborhood cats get most of the rodents around here.

open a few of the burrows, drop some of this in there.

FIL had them in his yard and he used a smoke bomb that released sulfurous smoke into the burrows and the little bastards become fertilizer. You can find them at Big R type places.

I have a dog and he doesn’t seem to bother the damn things one bit.

I’ll try the smoke bomb method. I need to find the nesting sights. All I see are the trails in the grass. Not tunnels. They look like tracks where they chew the grass at the dirt level. Bastards.
