I'm installing a home security system and need a small spacer for a door sensor. It needs to go on flush but the trim prevents that. If someone has a 3D printer a small polymer spacer should be very easy to make.

If you have the file there are places that will do print on demand. Heck, even Colorado Springs Library has one 3d printer that can be used.
Right now my printers are down while I start the log process on tuning them back up and upgrading some hardware.
I just looked and Arapahoe County library will do it for free.

wait until you find out that even the simple parts will take forever to print.
Is there dimensions for this specific part for his project?
Very small. Maybe 2in X 2in X 0.5in
While I probably could get away with something from a hardware store the 3D printer solution seems way more fun.
