CO Part-year resident taxes question

I'm doing our 2019 taxes for CO online and am a bit confused.

For CO I had an income of X; federally Y (since we became residents of Oklahoma, I had income that was not taxable in CO).

CO's website is saying that my taxable income is Y and not X.

I don't understand how this is the case? I wasn't a full year resident.

Wouldn't the taxable income only be X?

That should be correct. I have not used the Colorado site for taxes, I always use turbo tax. I have been working in CA for almost 2 years. Half of 2018, all of 2019, and now part of 2020. Never had any issues.

Filed Federal back in February. None of the online solutions I've found allow for filing state only; all require federal to be filed in conjunction.

With turbo tax you get the option of mailing State, that is what I usually do (since I generally have to pay). This year I got a return from everyone so I filed early. I think you can use turbo tax online and go thru the process and see if it works. They do not charge till you file. That way you can at least see if it will work correctly.

I filed part year taxes for Colorado after doing my federal. There is another form that is used to calculate which part of your income is taxable in Colorado (DR 0104PN) and it needs to be included with your CO return. I was able to file online with Colorado and Maryland but not my federal. Of course I have received or paid the states what they say I owe them, but federal has not sent me my refund yet...probably because I mailed paper copies to the IRS address that covers my current residence. I'm sure that once the IRS has distributed all of the virus stimulus checks they will get right on with sending out refunds for what we overpaid last year.

I sure do hope next year is simpler, but highly doubt I have tuned my withholdings to get back to the minimum refund/overpayment status I was at before leaving CO. [Coffee]

Right, I've been doing their electronic forms including the 104PN.

My concern is whether or not I'm messing something up since the "taxable income" on that last screen being shown is my federal modified AGI (AGI - the 24k standard deduction).

I would think that the only taxable income which should be shown is my X income, not the modified Y.
