Is there someplace around the south site that I can zero a rifle for 200? I've poked around there many times, but never noticed a likely spot. Anyplace else up near Woodland Park where I can take some long, level shots?

I've found plenty of areas. The problem I have when shooting that far up in the woods is maintaining security for that type of distance to make sure nobody tries to enter your line of fire. I prefer open prairie so I can see a long way off in every direction.
There is a nice, very open area north of highway 24 just east of Wilkerson Pass that works.. and it really is not that far from Woodland.
Yup, it's the safety concerns that worry me. I nearly had a problem up there once because someone did wander into my line of fire. Saw him in time so there were no problems, but it permanently scared me off shooting anywhere I can't be certain the LOF will remain clear.Quote:
