OTB Buckmaster Boots

The OTB line of footwear was new to me until Mike Bower introduced them to me. Upon his recommendation, I purchased a pair of Bushmaster black, and I have been wearing them for a little over a month.

My first impressions of the boots were that they were very light weight, almost uncommonly so. My feet felt lighter, and I found myself walking with a certain ease while sporting the OTBs. I also noticed the teared front portion of the soles that dramatically aided my walking, and made this very common motion seem much more ergonomic than before. Additionally, these boots are extremely comfortable. In my line of work, I am standing constantly for 8-10 hours a day on hard surfaces, and after switching to the OTBs, my foot pain and leg strain disappeared within a week. This was after I had invested in shoe inserts and support arches to attempt to fix this problem with my previous foot wear, with little relief. This alone to me was well worth the price of admission, but the OTB's functionality does not stop there.

For my job, I have to wear dress pants (Dockers) and I was concerned that the OTBs would appear too "street" to be acceptable at work. On the contrary, I was actually complimented on my "new shoes," while utilizing a combat style piece of footwear. Additionally in my work, I am constantly walking from wet to dry flooring. I have not once had a slip in these boots, and they do not squeak when wet walking on tile. Further, the enhanced ankle support allows me more stable movement and quicker direction changes than I had been able in my previous footwear.

The bottom line for me is that these are the best shoes/boots I have ever owned. My one complaint is that they are not totally waterproof (available in other models). They do breathe well, but I would not wade through a stream in them without backup socks. I have abandoned all other footwear and have been wearing my OTBs exclusively in my work, play, and outdoor activities since I purchased them, and will most definitely be buying another pair in the near future.
