Savage 10-BAS-K in 308

Anybody have one?
Pros-Cons?
Range reports?

For those that are not familiar it is Savages precision rifle based on the model 10 series, 10 round detachable magazine in the aluminum chassis/stock.
They are either ugly or beautiful, depending on ones perspective. Heavy bastard but it is not a rifle you would want to take on a hunt anyway.
I like the magazine system on it for one reason- I think one could adapt M1A mags so you can have 20 rounds of fun[Muaha]

I am mulling over parting with my 10FCP and something else to finance one.

One of the guys who shoots at the Pueblo PD matches has one. Danged if I can remember his name. I don't know if he's on this board, but if he is I suspect he'll be along soon.

I asked him how he liked it, and his response was positive though it was very new to him at the time.
