anyone been to the ones down there? worth going to?
Maybe it's just me, but I have never -- not even once -- seen good deals on firearms at a gunshow.
I've seen some good deals on ammo. Knives. Flashlights. Hats. Bags.
But never on guns.
Usually a nice selection though. And I often see hard-to-find guns on display.

The one at the Penrose Event Center might be worth checking out.
Check in the back there should be the AK-47man`s trailer.
I almost always end up with something from them,I think they are Matt & Gina.I bought my Bushmaster A2 new from them less than $800 OTD.
In Colorado, gunshow deals are rare, I think it is because there is no personal sell of firearms without a background check which has people not selling at all. But when I use to live in ohio, you almost always saw a good firearms deal since just regular joes came to sell firearms, i.e. grandmother moving to CA so she was trying to sell her mossberg 500 for $100, old man with medical bills, luger $400, old man with bad eyesight no longer shoots, remington rand 1911 for $400. on and on.
However, AK47man does have great deals, best way to go in colorado.
Sounds like the shows are just a clone of the denver shows and not worth driving down for. or am I wrong in thinking that.
I'm sure to post here bitching about how much it sucked, but will end up going to one of them in search of clips and non-corrosive M2 ball. Yes I said "clips" :D
My usual mail-order habits don't do so well this time of year with the hours when UPS expects someone to be home.
Gun shows have changed a lot since I started shooting in the seventies.
Now there is little left but high prices on a limited selection of guns and flea market junk.
They used to be an event that you saved money for and were ready
with cash for the doors to open.
Off course, with the Colorado laws, where there can be no private transfers on premise without using a FFL holder, it eliminated a lot of people from bringing their old stuff out of the woodwork.
And that was what made the gun shows interesting-the wide
selection of new and old. Some stuff you just rarely see in your typical
gun shop.
