New, Low Light Home Defense class in Denver...
You are suddenly awakened from a deep sleep by your wife. "I think someone is breaking into the house."
What are you going to do? What should you do?
So you grab your handgun and maybe a flash light or maybe your weapon has night sights or a laser, but then what about identifying your threat...or is it someone known to you, a family member perhaps?
You proceed down the hall, not really awake. There is not enough light to see what is in the living room. Just ahead, there is a bathroom to your left and a spare bedroom to your right. Both doors are open. Which one do you check first? Or, do you pass them up and go to the living room?
If something happens to you, who will defend the wife? Who will defend the kids? Where are the kids? Where's the suspect? Where are the police? Who has the phone? Is it a corded phone? Portable? Cell phone? Did your wife call 911 or are you going to? Are you in a position to answer all these questions while dealing with your search of the house?
Suddenly you see movement down the hall, past the living room! Is it one of your children or someone else? You have not had time to confirm a break-in. If you yell at them or light them up with a flashlight, what if it is an intruder and he runs into your daughter's room? Is he the ONLY intruder? Are there others? Are they armed?
The police arrive, run through the open door and see you holding a handgun. You're ordered to drop the weapon but you have your sights on the possible threat. They again order you to drop the weapon.
Are you really prepared to deal with all of this? Do you have the right tools and do you know how to use them? Do you really know your limitations? What is prudent and what is not? Do you have a good plan for such an event?

Low Light, Home Defense Class in Denver...
Hi guys...sorry about the lack of clarity in the total cost for the class. Each class is $75.00 total. Class is the same both scheduled days. Just giving an additional opportunity to attend by running it two times.
I have assisted Nick Leva and AWT for the past 3 years, here in Chaffee County and around the state. Nick currently does the firearms training and requals for Loomis-Fargo throughout a 5 state region. He's a Lt. at the Chaffee County Sheriff's office and handles the majority of weapons training for that department.
He's just given the ok for me to post his personal cell number if you'd like further info but asks that you please look over our website first. He's busy but can be reached. That number is 719.207.2945.
We're hoping to give you guys a chance to get out of the house for a few hours of learning something that applies to homeowners and renters, alike, in addition to getting some rangetime when the weather keeps many of us from keeping up on our shooting skills at the outdoor ranges.
Hope to see you there & thanks for your interest.
