Stengels range by Hotchkiss

I've been wanting to start shooting in a pistol competion for the last year. Read in the Shoppers Weekly that there was a action pistol shoot at Stengels today. Decided to stop by and observe and get a feel for what would be needed and I gotta say I was really impressed with the range. Pistol and 100yrd range with shooting positions covered. Looks like there is a 1000 yrd range by itself to the west of where the pistol shoot was being held. Also noticed some big steel targets of various shapes way out there (1500yrds?)

Talked to the man that operates the range, Mr. Stengel, and found out the fees were super reasonable. $75 first year, $20 after with NRA membership required. I live by Delta so it's only about a 10 minute drive. Looked like a great bunch of guys and gal shooting the stages. Wish I wouldn't have taken so long to check out this place.

Anyone from this site shoot there? It appears that most posters here live on the front range.
