My father-in-law is looking to buy a Heritage Arms Rough Rider SA .22lr/..22mag revolver. I have never even heard of this brand. Does anyone on the forum own one? Any thoughts on their quality? Thanks for your help.

My Grandfarther left me one. They are nice, for what they are. Mine has a super shinny bluing and it has a safty too, but it had some screws on the side plate and as i was cleaning it noticed they were very loose and I snugged them up and it locked the whole pistol up, they are only ment to be finger tight i guess. I had a ruger Singal six and it was IMO better, clean trigger break and felt more soild
so they are basically a cheap alternative to the Ruger single action .22. You said your grandfather left you one. Have they been around a while, or was it a more recent purchase?Quote:

Great little gun for the money. If I remember right, Jax had a sale on them late last year for $115 ish.
