Remington Sucks......
,,,and I'm a big ol' sucker!! It's not as fancy as what a lot of you guys shoot and I don't even know if it would be considered "Long Range but I'm stoked. I hope it shoots as good as the last one, that I should have never let go. I know the Remington and magnum haters won't like it but who cares. It's a Remington 700 XCR 300 Ultra Mag with a Leupold VX-3 4.5x14x50. The gunsmith put on a Holland muzzle brake, floated the barrel, pillar bedded and a 3lb trigger job. I took it to the range and I was very happy.

Nice!
Have kids? Your floor resembles mine sometimes. Random beeds, bracelets scattered throughout the house.
Don't know how many times I took a ride on hot wheels and other toys![Mad]
Darn kids!
Again, thats a sweet new toy!

Nice rifle. I have a few Remingtons and love them all. My 700PSS in .300WM is my favorite long range rifle.[Beer]

Looks good. What do you plan to shoot with it?
-
That's a fine lookin' rifle good sir!

How much difference did the muzzle brake make? And how loud did it make it? I have a RUM 300 and it kicks like a mule.
-
I plan on using this rifle on everything from elk to antelope. I might even shoot a coyote with it. Good thing I don't save the fur.[ROFL1]
The brake helps a ton. It changes it from kicking like a mule to kicking like a .270. I bet it took 50% of the recoil out of it. It does make it very loud though. I wear double ear protection at the range. (plugs and muffs)
