Rules questions
I have a couple rules questions:
1. Magazines - if I remember right you can pull 2 magazines from your belt during the stage. My question is, can you use more if you want (and get put in the Outlaw division?) For some of the bigger stages I'm worried that 21 rounds won't be enough. Or maybe I just need to get more accurate. ;)
2. Magazine holsters - I have been shopping for a magazine holster and saw a few advertised as "IDPA legal" etc. Can someone explain that to me? I saw people using a lot of differing magazine pouches yesterday so what's legal and what's not?
3. Limited (vickers?? or something like that) stage vs... the other kind. I was real confused about this. Can someone explain the difference?
Thanks!

1. Mags. You can have two on your belt. With the one in your gun and the two on your belt you should have 22-31 rounds for autos and 18 for revos. More than that, outlaw division.
2. IDPA legal. If its geared towards competition use, IDPA does not allow it. Most any mag pouch that holds the mag close to your body as if you were trying to conceal it, its good.
3. Vickers and Limited Vickers. Vickers, shoot away till you are happy. We will only score the two best hits. Limited Vickers, you are limited to the amount of rounds that you can shoot. Take extra shots, get dinged. Sometimes called Virginia count.
Go to www.idpa.com and take a look at the rulebook. It goes into more detail and hopefully makes more sense. The FAQ thread here and at www.fridpa.com also has some info.
