got him at just over 400 yards with my dpms lr.308 and my own handloads. I watched him for over an hour hoping he would come in closer or down lower, I was across a valley and lower than him finally he was moving out, so I took the shot and dropped him. it took me over 2 hours to get to him, and get him out.
