Hunters, want to donate your hides?

The Idaho Springs Elk lodge 607 is looking for donations of hides from the hunting season. They use these to make special gloves for disabled vets to use as wheelchair gloves. They have a drop box at the lodge at 1600 Colorado Blvd in Idaho Springs.

I could probably also arrange to transport from the Denver Metro if needed.

dang, wish I would have known about this before, I would have had several.

You might try to get in touch with some of the game processors. They probably have lots of hides that are scrap that would work great for the gloves.

also call taxidermists. some people bring in capes that aren't any good or hides that aren't any good either that would work perfect for the cause.
