You just need a valid email address.

Once you submit a request to join, a manager will have to approve it.

This requirement is new to the site. Recent spam attacks have left quite a bit of work for us to clean up. Thats why we made the change. (I don't understand spam.. it's not like what they're posting is hard to find on the web) :roll:

I know its a little inconvient, but it keeps this site a bit more friendly to all the real participants.

It may take a while to get approved. I'd say that all requests will be considered pretty quickly and usually same day, but don't expect 'instant' approval. remember, the staff here is all volunteer and we have lives (well, thats what we'd like to think anyway) :mrgreen:
