AR in 308

looking at the DPMS what are some of the other brands out there. I would like to stay on the cheaper side of things if possible...what are your thoughts

If you want to stay on the cheaper side: DPMS. Only other recommendations I have use the DPMS 308 platform mags, etc, and are a good bit more expensive.

Maybe someone else will be more help.

there are quite few manufacturers building a 308 plattform AR's : bushmaster, cmmg, fulton armory, si defense, pof, iron ridge, sig sauer 716, HK 762, etc
Pmags 7.62/308 are not expensive $19-20, they fit dpms,pof,kac but not armalite pattern AR10s

what about CMMG they look decent

Also the OBR308.... awesome... But I still can't think of anything on the cheaper end of things.

I would actually point you to a custom rifle build off the Mega Arms Reciever sets. I just built a rifle which came out to 2k before optic but when we took it out it was shooting subMOA groups.

look for a used POF 308. They seem to have better value.
