Does anybody know if the Squaw Pass site is public or private land? I was told by a CCSO deputy that the actual area that most people shoot on is private property. The road going in and out may be national forest land as he did not mention anything about that. Can anybody confirm such things??

I was told by an older gentleman a year ago that it was he's property passed down from his dad. His story didn't make sence as he claimed the county dug dirt on his dads property to build the highway, causing those nice back drops, and made a mistake by digging there. I'm sure the county just wouldn't go digging up private property[Dunno]
FWIW I think the guy was just an anti and full of shit. People have been shooting there for years and if it was privately owned, I would assume the owner would have signage stateing so. I say keep shooting but please pack out more than you packed in[Beer]
