Well, after several returns, a scope issue fixed, and a lot of grief, I have my final product. Big thanks to Bert at BPTactical for doing the gunsmithing and for walking me through some of the debugging I had to go through. His work was great and the price was right.

Remington 700 .308 ADL Varmint (26" bull barrel., 1:12" twist)
B&C Medalist Style 4 1000 stock
Timney trigger
barrel cut to 22", 11* crown
Harris LMS Bipod
Warne bases
Burris Signature Zee rings
Nikon Monarch 5-20x44SF scope
Tac Ops bolt knob (good for -0.5 MOA)
Devcon skim bedding
Conversion to BDL floorplate and magazine

Stock, it was shooting about 2" groups at 100 yards. Looks like I'm currently shooting about 0.5 MOA out of it. I shot at a 600 yard gong with my BDC reticle and hit it 3 out of 3 times. Life is good. :-) I'm sure with reloads and more importantly, some practice, I can get even better.

100 yards - 5 rounds first reloads 165g Nossler + 43g RL-15 - 1 flyer that I knew was bad when I pulled the trigger - 0.50" at 100 yards

Of course, Federal GMM with Sierra BTHPs shoot awesome. But...

I've been working on a load with Nosler 165 Accubonds and shot a 5/16" (.3125") group last weekend. [Beer]Time to load up more!
