Places in or near Watkins?

I live in Aurora. Went to the Cherry Creek Family Center today and it sucked. I like places such as the Firing Line because I can look at my target at any time, not just every 30min. Plus the range Nazis at the family center were too stressful. Lets not even discuss paying $15 to shoot AFTER you pay $9 just to get into the park. No thanks. Firing line is okay but can't shoot my shotgun there.

SO....I saw the information about the pass up by Evergreen but was thinking maybe someone might have a spot to shoot out east past Aurora. I'm game to clean up my own brass and all. I'm looking for a place close and free. Please let me know. My friend has some land out in Deer Trail but that is way too far out.
