I've checked the sticky and poked around google without any luck. Do you guys have any recoomendations? Is the firing line my best bet? Thanks in advance!

I'd be interested as well
Nothing public out that way... Wish there was.
You'd think that with all the nothingness out here that there'd be at least a couple spots, but no such luck.
Check WHAC (http://www.wildlifehunters.com/) Get on the waiting list now and two or three years from now you will have a place.
Friends who have land that will allow you to shoot are most valuable.
Be safe.
Check out Colorado Clays. 144th and Lanewood. They were in the process of putting in a pistol/rifle range last time i was there... Not sure what ever came of it, been a while since i visited.
According to their website, the pistol and rifle ranges were supposed to be coming in 2012.
A bit behind schedule perhaps, but it looks like they're still on-task, which is great news.
I emailed Colorado Clays on Friday last week and received a call back within a couple hours. The gentleman (I forget his name now), told me that they were delayed but will resume progress once the ground thaws out and should have 10x 100yrd lanes for rifle, and 10x 25yrd lanes for pistol, sometime late spring 2013.
Anything in Thornton too? (I know LONG SHOT). I hate having to drive to BFE Aurora or Lakewood, ugh. Makes it so I don't get enough practice in that I'd really like to.
