Few year old model 10 with bull barrel. Anything specific to look out for? Better/worse than current models?
I had one about fifteen years ago. No accutrigger, crappy stock, with a cheap scope on it. Would shoot sub 1/2 MOA at 100 yards all day. If the price is right, I say "go for it".
I have to agree with Ray here almost completely. I have one, no accutrigger, LH, in 223, with a Leupold. Crappy stock, but mine also shoots sub-1/2 MOA all day long.
The non-accutrigger models have better/cheaper trigger replacement options. The replacement stock options are somewhat more limited than the newer models. But all in all they are great guns. The actions can be a little stiff, but there is trick you can do to smooth and lighten them up. Good luck!
hate to ask, but.....
looked thru blue book, and all over online, seeing prices from 300-900 on these, but I cant tell how old/comparable these are. Traditional lookin stock, so probably the lousy one refered to, and I think non-accu. Anyone have an idea what that might be worth? Im guessing around 300-350, as it seems just run-of-the mill, just heavy barrel. New non heavy barrel is around 350 fees included, and scope included (cheapy of course) from what Ive found
Depends. What caliber? And is it the old "tactical" or "police" model or whatever they called it?
Accu-stock is junk also. The action bolt spacing as well as a flat-back or round-back receivers will tell you what generation and which stocks and aftermarket parts will fit. Need photos, year, model number and caliber to give you a better idea of value.
