I'm only 18, so can't purchase from an FFL yet.. but I'd love to hear any members input on good .22LR handguns.
I know the Ruger Mark II/III and S&W 22A are great target 22's, but I prefer the styling of the S&W M&P22 and the Ruger SR-22. Any input on these two handguns?
Pistol or revolver?
The ruger mark III ruger lite is amazing same for a MKII

Bought a Browning Buckmark last year. Love it.
MKII/III/45 are all beauties. And highly customizable.

Surprisingly Walthers .22's are some amazingly fun guns
And I hear the mosquito is nice too, just not my grip type.

I've got an M&P22 that I use to supplement my training with my M&P9.
It's reliable, fun to shoot and has acceptable accuracy for what I'm doing with it which is shooting an IDPA target at 7-20 yards. There are much better options if you want a truly accurate 22 handgun.
Walther P22 owner. Really fun little .22. SIL got one for Christmas because she had so much fun with it.
Hope to some day get a suppressor for it.
I usually take the P22 to the range since it extends my sessions without breaking the bank.
I've put over 2,000 rounds through my Walther P22 without a single failure. I have taught 3 different women who were scared of guns with it. Everyone that shoots it, says its a fun little gun, and I have to remind them ITS NOT A TOY, even though it feels like it. Great weapon, only downfall are the 10 round mags.
