I'm bitching, f this heat man we didn't sign up for this bs.
Much as I hate the heat and the suck it brings, the lack of moisture is more concerning.
The 2" we got in July in early lame azz monsoon season kept pasture from burning up but still threatened unless get at least 3" of rain next 6-8 weeks. Even with 3"+ rain we won't even cut the grass this year. Zero production and lucky if I don't have to pony up to over seed this fall to have a chance of production next year.
Yep, really dry. Been hot up in WA as well, close to 100 near Renton. Public lands were closed for target shooting this weekend due to high fire risk.
I'm accustomed to afternoon thunder showers here in CO...but not so much this year.
4 box fans right at the window near full blast all night.
Unfortunately 2 box fans down stairs turns off, because 1st floor need those windows shut.

2 window units (1 on each side of the house) and 4 ceiling fans. Not too terrible but I miss my central air thats for sure. When i was working at the fed center I used to talk to a few guys that worked in the ice core labs about CO turnig into a desert, thinking back over the years weather changes I can now see it. Thats why I will be heading north when we can.
