Only thing I can figure is, people were pushing the small indicator lights instead of the original button that was on this panel when the building was finished a few months ago.
I believe the original button was about the size of a quarter or a normal elevator button.
Just make it a triangle.
Make it say don't press this button.
I worked on a dock for a while. The doors were pneumatic and operated by pulling a chain. Some braintrust decided to put big yellow panic buttons in all the docks right next to the pneumatic doors. Guess what happened?
I thought it was funny as hell. The downside was I had to call security every time and they were required to respond, so I got to deal with some people that were wound a little too tight.
Guess it's time to start thinking about getting into the season:
