They never jump on my line, but whatever.
Caught some decent size carp out there, but that's it.

Meh, fishing sucks in general at Jackson.
I gave up using traditional baits, so I just wadded up a piece of bread from my sammich on a treble hook and sent it, caught a few of em pretty quick.
I can't wait to do some fishing when I get back to TX. I don't even care to do the work to eat them, but it gets me out of the house and is relaxing. Pontoon boat, here I come
Not much good to eat out there anyway.
About the same at North Sterling and other plains irrigation resevoirs.
Walleye is ok, but Wiper and the rest are not much good for eating.
A couple of lines just went through my head....better not said.
:)
The "wiper" potential is still harassing my brain.
I don't think it would take a magician to pontificate the possibilities there.
Crappie ok with me just never caught any out there, same with trout.
If just out for sport spring can be a good time, Wiper are fun to catch but not good eating IMO.
Walleye ok to eat but Mrs bo doesn't like them.
We prefer to fish mountain lakes and rivers for trout.
I have always questioned the contaminants in the irrigation resevoirs along the North and South Platte rivers. They are the main drainage for the region. I believe some of the chemicals put on the fields along those rivers ends up in the reservoirs down stream. How much or any harm I have no clue.
We play occasionally at Jackson, N Sterling, Gurnsey, Glendo etc but haven't fished them for many years.
