Which ranch? I didn't get mine, but I didn't have any points, either?

I drew a second choice cow tag for the Flat Tops area, as usual. Will pick up an OTC bull tag when they go on sale next month. It will be my 32nd year hunting the area.
I'm more anxious to know if I draw a bull moose license for area 20. This morning I did an exploratory hike over 7+ miles, mostly bushwhacking along game trails and old logging roads, following private fence lines to access creek drainages with willow where moose roam. It was mostly dry Lodgepole and Limber Pine forest at 9000 ft., but there were elk track and scat everywhere, and signs of moose in places you might not expect them. Came across a beautiful aspen wetland meadow that has an elk wallow. Found fresh bear scat in several places. The bruins are everywhere nowdays. I did something different this year by applying for a bear tag in area 20 where we live. Very few bear are killed by hunters here, maybe one or two last year.
Here's a view of the Indian Peaks with Mount Audubon, Sawtooth Peak in the center and Buchanan Pass in the saddle to it's right, with Mount Saint Vrain on the far right.

Did not draw deer. :(
No deer, no elk.... guess I'll see what the sloppy leftovers offer.
Looks like north of 14k new moose applicants the year, now a pool of about 41k residents....wonder how they compiled draw recap stats on May 04 but still no notice of draw results yet??

Gah!
6 years I've been putting in for Mule Deer where we hunt Elk - mostly just to collect points until I was ready to pull the trigger so to speak, as everyone said they're impossible to get even though we always see them around. Well, this year, when I could have just applied for points, I drew 2nd rifle along with my either sex Elk 1st rifle.
That changes things (PTO use) and just getting the extra time off...
Got my deer tag at least! Was struggling deciding what to do for elk, finally buckled down and changed what I normally do and sure enough don’t even draw. Now have to figure out my backup plan
Split season would have been a pain for me. I'm glad I got archery Elk since that season gives me 11 days of hunting without touching comp time or PTO. Additionally, with the new baby coming in early October, a rifle season draw would have been an unpopular move. :)
I got skunked.
