That WAS a good rant!!!
Yeah, I added one to my cart, THE second they came back in stock, went to checkout and GONE. It really was under 5 seconds.
These have been very helpful for me:

I want to hit 500 tonight, for an average of 100 a year.
Everyone else in bed?
Watching Game of Thrones on demand. I am a fan.
"You ever take that off any sweet jumps?" I've never seen it, but I've heard the quote often enough that I should. Your sweet parts comment reminded me of that.
Anyways, the end plates and magazine extension came from Brownells (I was surprised the extensions were in stock; that's why I grabbed it) and the buffer tubes were from some smaller place selling on Amazon.
The good news is that I was able to salvage the castle nut. Additionally, I *think* I can salvage the buffer tube. Don't get me wrong, it's tore all to hell, but I was pulling it off to get some machine work done for a DIY slidefire. I think it will still work for the testing of the set-up. Now that there's a weakness in the buffer tube, I wouldn't trust it long term, but I can play with the machining a bit to get it all built without worry of destroying the tube... because it's already destroyed...[Bang]
