So it seems. Really pays to check the laws of any states you plan to visit, because this can't be the only dumb law on state books.

Who has time to check entire code and legal findings of a state before visiting to make sure there isn't some unique aspect that I might violate? I know I don't. Like nearly all the rest of the population, you assume things are pretty similar to where I live and hope the officer and/or judge takes into account intent and can be lenient.

It does certainly support the idea that we all commit felonies daily without knowing it.
