Since we got back we got both the wife and I new DD's. Hers is an 08 GXP one owner with 70K miles and I got an old M3. Had an E46 compact in Germany that was a blast but things like M3's are much cheaper here than in Germany.Attachment 81656Attachment 81657
I love the E46, I wanted one for a long time, but they're at the age now where I worry about maintenance costs.

Having spent 3 years there I drove a lot of BMW's. I also learned that the E46 is just about the end of the line for BMW's that you can work on at home. After learning that you can't even change your own battery on anything newer and after doing my own work on my Hoopty it came down to this. Currently has the SMG but getting converted later this year. I have got used to the SMG in daily use and for the track they are great. Driving around town with one is another story.
