Yes, not like the (way too many) other CA plates I see on every drive across the state. I zoomed in with Photoshop to confirm.

In contrast this guy was doing 65 in the right lane. Most CA drivers with the newer plates on I-70 drive at 65 in the left lane. They never leave the left lane.

Based on that truck having a 4 banger and the load he/she's carrying. Those plates were probably new, when they left ca.

At least they aren't the black with yellow numbers that I seem to recall before the blue with yellow. With the modern 7 digit number, but still being the blue and gold, they're 1980-81.
