I'm on my second FS, and looking to replace it soon. No complaints, just a LOT of use. Probably average about 6-7yrs per unit.

We have this one because it's pretty and matched the brushed aluminum appliances in our (my wife's) kitchen... even though it's never on the counter... it does work well though. http://www.costco.com/FoodSaver%C2%A...100014659.html or maybe it was the model right before this one that looks similar. We didn't pay that much for it.
Foodsaver is the way to go, they make quite a few different models and in reading reviews if ya search some of the higher dollar ones got more complaints than the lower model ones,,,I have an old flat white one bought 5 or 6 years ago and when it stopped sucking the air out i got new seals for it,,,2.50 per seal and it now works like new. Great machines and worth every penny....
Costco has the newest foodsaver model in store for 119 right now (normally 149). That's low enough for me to finally give up my 12 year old one.
Just bought a food saver with 4 rolls of 11" bags and 2 rolls of 8" bags at kohls. 30% off and $10 kohls cash and walked out the door just a little over $120.
Any recommendations on models and best place to get them? I want one, new not used, don't need high end, looking for best price and function. Don't care about styling or extra features, just good suck 'em and seal 'em.
Usually Costco throws in a bunch of extra material that makes the deal a no brainer. A few times its been cheaper to get the package and throw the sealer away than buy bag rolls elsewhere.
Costco, huh? I have a membership, might just have to waddle on over there. Thanks!
Remember they check receipts! :)
