Beer is the best way to store water. They did it in the old days!
I was thinking about my homebrew equipment for this, use my big funnel I use to get stuff into carboys and line it with a muslin grain sock. Plus, homebrewing in a SHTF scenario is good because you boil the water for an hour or more and, hops and alcohol are anti-spoiling agents. [Beer]Quote:

Getting them from Brew Hut? I tried a few times to plant them but my canine digging machine always found them and tore them up. Hop pellets are better for long term storage anyway.
