Erasing data from smart phone with no display.

Oddly, the insurance and deductible on my new S8 makes it more likely to be "lost" than have a cracked screen or other damage.

Just another boating accident if it ever happens.

In hindsight I should have declared it lost, as the deductible is the same either way.

Tear it apart and destroy the memory

Retail phone stores don’t have that capability. I worked many years at Tmobile while in college we never could do that.
