Keep an eye on the farm and garden section of Craigslist for your area. There are often people looking to downsize a flock or get out of chickens that have layers for sale or free. You can always put up a wanted advert if you don't want to regularly check the site.Quote:

Nice. I've got five, but only four lay, and one of them I don't expect to live through the winter. I'd like six layers. I like giving eggs to the neighbors, but with only four layers, it takes too long to build up a surplus.
Are you going to post anything about your coop/run?

We got a new fence installed and I had some left over so I drilled them into the side. It has two nesting boxes right now

I have a Brittany but he isn?t at my house. We have a lab mix and German Shepard mastiff Pyrenees mix I don?t really trust them with the chicken hahaQuote:
